Two families - a common project
Our company Nova Rust d.o.o is a joint project of the Croatian Family Novaković and the German Family Rust.
While Karin and Stephan Rust deal with commercial matters such as financing, sales and marketing, Marjo and Vilma Novaković are concerned with the construction and operation of the ship and the well-being of its guests.

The captain: Marjo Novaković

Marjo comes from a large family from the island of Šolta, which has been engaged in seafaring for many generations.

Already more than 50 years ago, his father, Srećko Novaković, started to sail through the beautiful Croatian island world with a wooden sailing ship. Marjo was first professional footballer and has played for Hannover 96, among others for the club Hajduk Split and also several years in Germany.

After the end of his career as a professional footballer, he made in 1999, the captain's patent and drove once for a few years on the side of his father on his sailing ship "Pravedan" as a first officer.
In 2011, he decided to build his first own ship - the MY Vilma, a 30-meter-long, comfortable motor yacht.

Also on board were his son Antonio, who at a young age already made himself the captain's patent, and his daughter Marieta.

Since two captains on a ship are too much in the long run, the family decided to build a second, new and larger ship, the MY Princess.

From the season 2019 Marjo will head the MY Princess as captain. He is supported by his wife Vilma,
who runs the service on board.
